We are looking for an Operations Controller to join our Operations Control Team in a full-time, 12-month maternity cover position ideally from 1 December 2021.

“In this role, you will be working closely with operations teams around the world mitigating risks for the company. Your tasks will cover payments of hire, commission invoices and other commercial payments, as well as ensuring our customers pay on time and that disputes are solved quickly and politely,” says Team Lead, Jette Vester.

Your main responsibility will be to make sure that the control tasks are performed in a structured and accurate manner in order to secure correct and efficient payments. Among other interesting tasks, you will have the opportunity to work with:

• Paying hire on time to our large fleet of leased vessels
• Controlling of the operations system and the data inserted by the operations team
• Making ad-hoc data analysis to support follow-up on operational results and performance
• General internal support to operators and controllers

The ideal candidate has a relevant education in finance & accounting, shipping and trade, or recently completed a traineeship as a Trainee. You may have a few years of experience and knowledge of the shipping industry.

Furthermore, you have/are:

• A passion for numbers and IT that allows you to quickly acquire new skills in these fields
• Responsible, structured and detail oriented
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Word and Excel
• Fluent in oral and written English as this is our corporate language
• Experience with SAP is an advantage, but not a must.
